Overview

The Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) program on reproductive health, initiated by the Health Communication and life skills unit / Media and publicity unit of the Health Promotion Bureau, Sri Lanka, aims to enhance awareness and promote positive health behaviors related to reproductive health , Family planning , menstrual health , well women care  and prevention of gender based violence. The program focuses on educating individuals and communities about reproductive health through workshops, campaigns, and the distribution of educational materials, the BCC Unit encourages informed decision-making and healthy practices. The responsibility of the program includes designing and implementing strategies that foster behavioral change, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring the message reaches vulnerable populations effectively.
