Activities

behavior research unit activity

HPB prioritizes research in behavior change and health promotion by identifying key needs and gaps in the field. We aim to establish and maintain a comprehensive research database conducted on these topics. Additionally, we foster collaborative research initiatives with local and international partner universities to enhance the effectiveness of health promotion efforts.

ParentText Initiative

Establish and sustain the innovative mobile messaging project, 'ParentText,' to enhance parenting practices. The goal is to create a scalable foundation for a hybrid, engaging curriculum tailored for Sri Lanka. This project will involve adapting and developing a 5-day user experience with optional courses for parents of children aged 2-9. The project will be a collaborative effort between the Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) and Oxford University (USA), which will work together to design and implement this impactful initiative.
