වෙත සාදරයෙන් පිළිගනිමු සෞඛ්‍ය ප්‍රවර්ධන කාර්යාංශය
සෞඛ්‍ය ප්‍රවර්ධන කාර්යාංශය (HPB) යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශයේ සෞඛ්‍ය සන්නිවේදනය, සෞඛ්‍ය ප්‍රවර්ධනය, මාධ්ය සහ ප්‍රචාරණය සඳහා වන ජාතික විශිෂ්ටතා මධ්‍යස්ථානයයි. උපදේශනය, මැදිහත්වීම සහ සක්‍රීය කිරීම තුළින් ඔවුන්ගේ සෞඛ්‍යයේ නිර්ණායක පාලනය කිරීමට ඔවුන්ට බලය ලබා දීමෙන් ජනතාවගේ සෞඛ්‍යය, යහපැවැත්ම සහ ජීවන තත්ත්වය වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම Hසෞඛ්‍ය ප්‍රවර්ධන කාර්යාංශයේ හි ප්‍රධාන ඉලක්කයයි. මෙම මාවතේ ප්‍රජාවන් සහ සැකසුම් බලමුලු ගැන්වීම සහ බලගැන්වීම අවධාරණය කෙරේ. සෞඛ්‍ය ප්‍රවර්ධන කාර්යාංශයේ හි සියලුම කාර්යයන් ජාතික වශයෙන් තාක්ෂණික ඒකක හතක් සහ පරිපාලන අංශයක් විසින් සහ පළාත් සහ දිස්ත්‍රික් මට්ටමේ සෞඛ්‍ය අධ්‍යාපන නිලධාරීන්ගේ ජාලයක්, රට පුරා අනෙකුත් සෞඛ්‍ය සහ සෞඛ්‍ය ආශ්‍රිත පාර්ශවකරුවන් හරහා සිදු කරනු ලැබේ.

Advocacy program on Hospital Health Promotion
On 29th November 2024, an advocacy program was successfully conducted at Base Hospital Walasmulla for the hospital health staff. The program introduced and reinforced the health-promotive hospital concept, emphasizing the integration of health promotion principles into routine hospital practices.

Annual Preschool Health Promotion Review
The Preschool Health Promotion Setting is one of the 5 settings focused for health promotion by the Health Promotion Bureau. The progress of preschool health promotion settings development program is reviewed annually by the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation unit. The key stakeholders representing health, early childhood development and preschool settings from provincial, district and divisional levels gather at the review to present the progress based on three key areas of evaluation: establishment, functionality and multi-sector engagement in implementation of preschool health promotion program. While progress is reviewed, many success stories and experiences are shared for wider learning. This year the annual preschool health promotion progress reviews started from 26th November 2024 where Western and Southern Provinces were reviewed. On 29th November Central, Uva and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, on 03rd December the North Western and North Central Provinces and on 10th December Northern and Eastern Provinces were reviewed. All officials from the different sectors were also appreciated by awarding a certificate of appreciation. UNICEF is the sole funding agency for this program.

A fitness programme was conducted by Dr Manola Nanayakkara, Consultant Physician in Sports and Exercise Medicine, TH Ragama to all the staff at HPB.
